Tourists will soon be allowed to enjoy the beautiful pristine beaches of Seychelles again. There is, however, a very important prerequisite. All island visitors will be required to be vaccinated.

Seychelles following in Mauritius footsteps

The Minister for Foreign Affair and Tourism announced these new regulations at a press conference. All vaccinated visitors will thereby be allowed immediate access. This follows the announcement by the government of Mauritius that the same requirements will be applied to all visitors entering its shores. No one will be allowed entry without proof of full vaccination.

Opening to all Visitors

These regulations are not long term. Once the majority of the population of Seychelles has been vaccinated, the restrictions will be lifted.

All visitors, whether vaccinated or not, will be allowed to enter as long as they can provide a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival. The standard COVID-19 protocol of wearing a face mask and maintaining social distancing will however still need to be adhered to.
